Ed, if I understand your point, you would prefer that the government not get involved in micro-managing businesses. As a business owner, I couldn't agree more..

Wouldn't YOU agree that there are certain RULES that we all have to follow, in a civilized society, if ALL are to have an opportunity to succeed? That is, the Mafia can be VERY successful at business if they are not constrained by any adherence to basic RULES. And if everyone were to follow the rules, we would have LESS government regulation, not more. Rules make for a civilized society. Do you think it is too much to ask to have Microsoft at least follow the basic rules? I think most of us on the thread would settle for that -- preferably without the DOJ case, but WITH the DOJ case if that is the only way to get Microsoft to play by the rules..
