Chip, the value line has moved off the october lows about 5 or 6%, while the nasdaq has move 19%.

nobody cares about small caps or value, they are dreadfully underperforming, people are falling all overthemselves to buy qcom or sunw or jdsu at inflated prices.

as a comparison, off last years october bottom the VLE matched the % rise in nasdaq into the late november top.

This is another clue that this is a bear market rally, not an internal momentum initiation thrust.

The small caps will be the place to be after a washout bottom, which includes a giant tech wreck that takes all the zillions of $ that has rushed into rYDex OTC over the last several months and throws it in URSA.

That chart is certainly different than the yahoo one. I guess we have to wait for LG's OMC chart to see what's really going on in the overall market. <g>
