Re QCOM... But dont you see??? A 4:1 split means you buy one share today, and soon you will have four! Thats four times the shares you originally had! Makes perfect fundamental sense to me... in another dimension maybe <g>

Spoos are down 13 at the moment, MSFT takes us down with it when the market opens.

Stephen, no doubt about it!

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but the perverse logic behind splits is that they are taken as messages from the company:

"We wouldn't risk seeing our stock going below $40, so by splitting it we are signaling our stockholders that there's lots of good things coming up that we cannot talk about just now"

Mutis mutandis...
