Duane. Yes. I just read all the posts and felt that a lot of your posts make sense but NOT ALL. But we are all guilty of that, aren't we? Talking about bringing attack dogs out, you were not innocent. Not all posts attacked you but you def. barked anyhow. Don't mind me. It just struck me funny when you brought up this quote.

I am not an expert on software or Msft but I do know that I use Msft AND the Navigator. So if I can download another browser 99% of PC users should be able to. Now, if they are too lazy that is another animal. But can you really blame Msft for that?

There was this little talk about Mercedes and a BMW engine. Nobody tells Mercedes or other car cos. what to put into their cars, not counting stuff for safety, so why should anyone tell Msft what they can put into their windows? Like this posted article says. Where was everyone when Msft windows were shaky? If you read one of those 2 last paragraphs in this commentary on Msft by European analysts, even they understand that unsuccessful companies rise to the occasion when a big company gets attacked.

Again. I agree that Msft was tough and iffy at times. But in a capitalistic society the better competitor survives. Where was everybody when Msft was small? I don't think Bill Gates started at the top.

When you get big do you really have to thwart innovation a bit so your competitors can catch up? Is this what YOU did when you worked for GE? Is that how GE got so successful? gg. Good grief. Why is GE partnering with Msft if they are so evil?

I know. I am just talking to hear myself talk. But that's how I feel about this situation. I just can't see how Msft is hurting America, meaning consumers. I can think of a cpl of other cos. and things that could fall into this category. Can you? Think of vital things to our security and where is the GVT there?

Nobody called me from CNN. Sheesh. MY friends don't feel like they have been harmed by Msft. But what do I or they know.

I am hoping this Msft case will not influence the market. The capitalist that I am. Like this article said. Maybe we get many little Msft's and down the road they can all merge again.
