True. However, VISX is really on the defensive here suing against challenges and counter claims to at least two of their most critical patents. The cases initiated by their own suits against Nidek Co. are international in scope ranging from Canada to France.
Besides this there are several federal anti trust class action suits vs VISX unresolved in various U.S. courts.
Outcomes are yet unknown. VISX has stated that any "adverse determination" could limit their ability to collect license fees. The patent litigation is probably the most worrisome.

I'm optimistic long run but nevertheless the officers have sold off a lot of shares. Is it better safe than sorry?
