MSFT POLL FROM TSC...

Sorry if this has already been posted....

TSC Polling Place Results

Question: What will happen to Microsoft's stock this week?

Responses: 740 Last updated: Mon Nov 08, 6:30 AM EST

Bargain hunters snap up shares starting Monday, and it rises all week. 9%

After a further decline on Monday, it recovers and ends the week higher. 29%

After slumping for most of the week, it bounces to end about unchanged. 39%

Down, down, down -- Microsoft slides all week long. 21%
A chastened Microsoft voluntarily splits into three companies by Friday. 2%

I tend to agree with the poll... ie. ends the week essentially unchanged....

Again, MSFT does not innovate. Instead, they are busy trying to break other company's products when those
products conflict with MSFT's own products.!"

Oba, What is wrong with that! I nobi propah? MSFT nogo

Olu: Why would I want MSFT's java to work on another O/S? The fact that they have a java that runs better on Windows does not hurt the one that runs so slowly on my Mac except by comparison. It seems to me that it is Sun that is stifling innovation by insisting that no one can "tweak" java. By the way there is no one java client that will work on all platforms. SUNW is trying to pull a MSFT from the network to the desktop rather than the way MSFT did it. They want to control the lingua franca of the net and be the licensor and certifier of the various platforms who need their own unique clients. MSFT just built their own unique client that works better than others as they (as you have admitted) know there own O/S the best.

By the way even if MSFT broke up the DOJ would probably require that they check their brains at the door everyday to let the gov't and the rest of the industry catch up. JFD
