Actually, DELL's growth rate may be once again accelerating.
The IDC numbers indicate sales of 3.2 M units this quarter this would yield a growth rate of 50% up from 42 % last quarter. While GTW's growth is not accelerating. The impetus from the opening of so many Country stores looks absorbed now as far as growth rate is concerned.

<<But DELL's growth rate is slowing. And GTW's may be accelerating. >>

I beg to defer. I think GTW has better accounting wizzardy going FOR them than DELL at this time. A case in point, GTW is front-loading the revenues with Compuserve deals. Can you ask why is that GTW is promoting Compuserve deals when it often touted Gateway internet access as the top growth biz for the company? The answer is easy - if you give-away $400 bucks on a PC for a 3 year deal on internet access on which they don't make any money, it is a double whammy. If they have Compuserve as a colluder, they can front'load the $400 as revenues. If IBM gets the gold medal for accounting wizzardy, GTW should at least get a silver medal.
