Uncle Frank: This thread is precious to many of us. It is with deep sadness that I read all the bricks thrown about in the last few days.

The joy here has been the willingness to compare notes with civility. This is rare on the net and even in SI itself.

For the sake of us all, I hope the destructive stuff is over - at least for now.

As many of you know, my focus on wireless, fiberoptics and now (just beginning) the internet has meant that I miss out on actually investing in many excellent ideas such as those Mike presents so well in the front office. But I have stuck to the area I know best. Just my way.

Even with this narrow focus I find the discussions of the factors which make gorillas gorillas and kings kings invaluable to me. And I very much appreciate the opportunity to learn here.

Hope the static subsides and the main signal is easier to pick out.

Best to all.

Hi All,

I have been a lurker on this thread for quite awhile and have learned a great deal from everyones posts. During this period I have purchased some GMST and QCOM of which I have done quite well with both investments. I was trying to find a way to say thankyou to everyone for their hard work and research which they have freely shared. The best way I could think of to say thanks was to purchase and read the book "The Gorilla Game" so that someday I might be able to contribute some informed information. I have found the book to be a very enjoyable read - and I'm not much of a reader. Thanks to everyone.

Respectfully and with gratitude,

Gregg M. Akin a/k/a RunBullRun
