"Roseanne" was brilliant at the beginning, and an important cultural phenomenon, putting forth the most truthful portrayal of working class Americans that had ever appeared on television. As the years wore on, Roseanne's emotional difficulties and increasing propensity towards PC gestures took their toll, and the last couple of seasons were practically unwatchable. But that should not obscure the fact that there was something special there for awhile.....
