Any comments re. SNoReS? It seems to be asleep or in a coma.

Can I add MXT to your list? Nearly a three-point drop today after Friday's 2-point run.

Nice to see ZICA mentioned as a short!!

I have a bucket of short shares, and was beginning to think I was the only one! Every day a new press release touting some agreement, but never any hard numbers. I'd bet the agreements essentially read "We, the undersigned Big Telephone Maker, agree to include Zi's product into our phones at some point in the future if any of our customers ask for it."

ZICA's a really empty bag, but it's annoying to see all the PR and the increased stock price. The earnings, on the other hand, should be a bright spot!

-- Pete

P.S. Anyone out there still short CSCC (formerly TMSR)?? Earnings, ah--so to speak, are due after the bell on Thursday... this is the last quarter they will be able to blame on the hardware division. This one might finally--FINALLY--be headed south.

Watch out with CYOE. History tells me this run is a prelude to an announce that could pump it into the 8's or 9's.

I could be wrong, but I only have 25% position that I've been building for a week.

If this is a 'Short List' thread, where's the 'Short List'?

Having a list, and posting it regularly, would provide a little accountability that, I suspect, SophomAuric doesn't want.

Take this post of his last November (I had to go that far back to find another real short list):

It time: ZICA, SRCM, CYOE, SPLN, NITE, ICCSA, TALK, MRBA, ZOLT all are a short squeeze of a POSes that is now complete (well, maybe not NITE) roughly 30% of float, 10 days short. Market for this crap is done for a while. Do 'em all in a basket & cover in 5 or 6 days or mix n' match. Many have options right in the money with 80% deltas. These are great probability shorts."

-----------------------

Well, how did these picks fare, assuming you covered in 6 days?

Stock 11/8 11/16 % Change
----------------------------------------
ZICA 10.5625 16.0000 +51%
SRCM 10.5625 13.0000 +23%
CYOE 6.5625 5.5000 -16%
SPLN 37.7500 41.2500 +9%
NITE 37.8125 48.0000 +27%
ICCSA 15.3750 18.3750 +20%
TALK 15.9375 18.0625 +13%
MRBA 38.0000 42.2500 +11%
ZOLT 9.0000 12.0000 +33%

The numbers speak for themselves. These 'POS' stocks gained an average of 19 percent during the period Auric advised people to short them. Apparently, the "market for this crap" wasn't done just yet.

And the author of this thread advised you to "Do 'em all in a basket." Well, there was only one good apple in that basket, at least for going short.

What would have happened if you'd sold short 1,000 shares of each of them at the close on the day of his post, then covered at the close six days later? You would have lost $32,875 (not counting commissions).

And perhaps the little one might whine, "But no one buys different-priced stocks in equal share amounts!" Okay, then what would have happened if you'd sold short $10,000 worth of each of these stocks, then covered those shares at the close six days later? You would have lost only $17,194.25 (not counting commissions).

Quoting the author of this thread: "These are great probability shorts." Well, maybe his 'neural network' wasn't plugged in, or his Cray computer was being serviced.

But more to the point: these are HARD FACTS, SophomAuric, FACE THEM! Quit hiding behind insults and scatological remarks. If you're as good as you say you are, POST YOUR SHORT LIST AND UPDATE IT REGULARLY!

Short of that, you're just a puerile blowhard.

Regards,

DWCraig
