Discounting the here-after. Mania? ICGE has a market cap. almost 1/2 of General Motors [GM $150B+ sales, $5.7B profits this year, about the same next, or about $20M. every business day]. Or, one can buy 3.4 Georgia Pacifics for one ICGE [GP.,$16B. sales, $700M. net profits '99, should be $800M. "00]. Now ICGE has bright prospects, but a current market cap of $22.3B?! This is just a comparison of many possible in this tale of two markets, the haves and the have nots. Something for everyone. Value? All you want. Mania? you bet. Disclosure: long ICGE from $12 and $105, and "parent" SFE from $3.23. Contradiction? No. Just don't confuse current prices of mania stocks with the markets present discounting of future value, in a rational way. I suppose it's possible the market is making a correct assessment, but prices are discounting the near here-after, and assuming almost perfect execution. No reason not to participate. Just have two eyes on the exit, and two fingers on the pulse. ICGE now $186, and has entered another "bullish" zone. High enough for speculators to start salivating over a possible split-Hmm. With Qualcomm setting a precedent on what happens if a stock can just get high enough to split...as they say on more basic threads, "to the mooooon." Not a prediction, just reporting New Era logic.
