Fred, my thoughts re the LM deal are as follows.

The OUM pages at www.ovonic.com are a mixture of actual data and theoretically predicted performance. Before making an IPO or further JV'ing or licensing the technology, it is important to PROVE the performance to increase the established value of the tech. This proving can be furthered greatly by the joiont ECD/LM development, so I think this is important -- even if the resulting product is for aerospace rather than consumer markets. I doubt that LM has such a bad image that the output of the joint effort will be scoffed at!

A further consideration is that LM's wafer fab facility may well be highly suitable for what Tyler needs -- that is, it may be good for development of chips using new materials and so forth -- more a lab than a fabrication facility. This is yet another question I would like to have an answer to.

Jeez -- 10 months of Baker's Comet, Now I understand why some are so jumpy.
