The answer is USW's value increases dramatically above the $69 takeout price, at a rate of 1.783 dollar for every dollar increase in QWST's price above the collar. Therefore the goal is to short QWST above the collar since it locks in a higher value for USW shares, the increased benefit realized only if you are already long on USW and the deal goes thru. I have been long on USW since $58-$59 hoping to short QWST above the collar. $43 would be nice :-)
