Rande- I don't come out of lurk mode on your thread very often, but I saw something earlier tonight which I think you and your thread might enjoy reading. A few months ago everyone I know seemed to think that people would be pulling money out of the market for Y2K. Now it appears that the US markets are being seen as a safe haven. If this is true, this mania might have stronger legs than any of us can imagine.

Good luck trading and thanks for all your hard work!

Rande:

You make alot of excellent points. Perhaps one problem is that it often gets confusing as to which of your picks are for the long term, and which are the swing trades. For instance, let's say someone told you as of today they owned no stocks, but had 20,000 to invest. Well, of all of the thread's picks, which ones are meant to be held through 2000? Which are meant to be sold at the next spike? Which are meant to be held for 3 days until the "January effect" ends? Which picks are up so high now that it no longer makes sense to buy them at their current level? Perhaps some of us (myself obviously included) could use a brief refresher on where we are now, and where the market is headed. Not only over the next week, but over the next year and beyond as well.
As one quick example. Take OMX, a great pick. Is it time to sell? Sell 1/2 position? Sell nothing because in 3 months it will be at 20? I know that no one can predict the future, but a little guidance would be much appreciated.

thanks!

Patience is why I still hold TTN. Not a rocket like RNWK or some of the nets, but it beats having a day job!! 20k is now about 92k..

As always, you are quite correct, the real money is made by letting the stock work for you.

BTW, MWAR, one we played in the past, was a rocket today. Luckily I had some in inventory.

Wanna play a "safe"IPO ? CHTR, Paul Allen's cable co.

All the info you need is on the SI board, giant float(read:lowered volatility=safe), great intstuitonal backing, with PA's broadband plan, this is the no-brainer of 1999, a slow but steady riser imho.

I am in for a chunk today, average 20 3/4....I see $30 within the next 90 days.

Rande Is,

What's your price prediction for LQID? It's spiked to a new high yesterday but fell back on light trading volume.

thanks,
steve
