Cabletron Extends Global Support Services With EMEA Global Technical Assistance Center in Ireland ROCHESTER, N.H. and SHANNON, Ireland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 9, 1999-- Furthers Commitment to Providing Service and Support to European, Middle Eastern, and African Markets Cabletron Systems (NYSE:CS - news) today announced the opening of its fourth Global Technical Assistance Center (GTAC). Located in Shannon, Ireland, the newest GTAC will provide service and support to customers in the European, Middle Eastern and African (EMEA) markets. Part of Cabletron's Global Network Technology Services Division, the newest center complements existing centers in North America, Asia, and Latin America. With the capability of providing service and support in eight different EMEA languages, it enables Cabletron to offer proactive end-to-end management of customer requirements on a global basis. Prior to the establishment of the Shannon GTAC, all Cabletron telephone technical support activities in EMEA were decentralised, with each local office taking responsibility for support to their customer base.
