Actually, UPS plans to buy back stock from employees, according to their S-1: "Within several months after the offering, we intend to use the net proceeds of this offering to fund a cash tender offer for some of our class A-1 common stock."

Notwithstanding the foregoing, UPS could always use their stock to acquire another company. A nice move in ABF today when most of the other transports were weak. I keep seeing rumors about DHL as a suitor to ABF.
