Derek- So far so good. Star Office is quite large (66MB).
Suns servers are very good. I got it all in one try leaving
my computer running all night at 33.6K and waking up with
the download file ready to install. DSL would have been
nicer but then again I remember 110 baud teletypes.

I'm using the Windows version. I think I might go the CD
route because I've been motivated to try Linux again after
readin about Cobolt

----------------------- snip -------------------------

Cobalt [COBT-128.12] There is no easy way to buy this stock. Given the reaction of the market to this company it is likely that every trader from here to Gary, Indiana is getting ready to buy this stock on a pullback. Although, we hope that happens, we would like to own this stock in size, it is our "guess" that the conventional wisdom of "waiting" for the pullback may not materialize.

So here it is: "Buy." And a "Strong Buy" on any break of $80. But you can see by the range, we do expect violence.

----------------------- snip -------------------------

The above is from this post which tells how Cobalt uses customized versions of Red Hat Linux to build server
appliances.

I'll keep everyone posted on Star Office 51. I'm going to
install it on a fresh W2K Professional RC2 system so it
will be an all day project.

Derek- Still surfin instead of workin but I do have one
good piece of news. The Microsoft remedy is not going
to be one of the above it's going to be all of the above.

That means OS/2 will run Win32.
Apple will run Win32.
BeOS will run Win32.
Linux will run Win32.
Geos will run Win32.
Maybe even Amiga will run Win32.
