Ref- All the Coppermine Availability Commotion.

There are only two possibilities.

A. THE INTEL MANAGEMENT IS OUTRIGHT LYING:
Very unlikely IMHO,given the past record of being conservative, upright and honest. [ I am sure that this will get the usual reaction from the Intel detractors ]. In addition the legal jeopardy is too great ! Those Intel detractors who do believe that Intel is lying should immediately file a lawsuit. If you are right, you will be rich beyond belief ! Definitely, much more than by holding the AMD stock, or selling Intel short.

B. THE OEM's ARE HOARDING COPPERMINES FOR THE 820 LAUNCH IN A FEW WEEKS:
The 820 delay has left OEM without a chipset to sell Coppermines. Given that, we all expected major availability at the Distributor Level. However the 820 has merely moved by a few weeks. In addition the Build To Order business model is in trouble. The Taiwan earthquake and the larger than expected increase in PC sales is causing shortages of all PC components. So the OEM want a larger stockpile of everything. So all OEM are stockpiling the 820/Coppermine based system components awaiting the 820 launch.

So by the end of November we should be swimming with Floppermines, and getting choked by the noxious fumes of Vapormines.
