Petz - RE: "Does anyone here think there's a chance that the K6+ will be released at Comdex?"

Articles about the K6+ have said it will be produced on the .18 process. AMD has said all Athlon production starting at the beginning of this month would be .18, but they didnt't say the same thing for K6-x. AMD DID say that sometime the beginning of next year that everything would be made on the .18 process. So I'd say Athlon gets first priority for .18 and then K6-x. I also don't see why AMD would launch a processor this close to the end of the Q.

Oh yeah, my answer to the question - No.

Petz, re: < Does anyone here think there's a chance that the K6+ will be released at Comdex? >

It'd be a great suprise if they can do it. But, I doubt it though. They may be able to demo one, if there is any truth to the rumor of Jan'00 release of K6-2+s.
