Perhaps, but the trial will affect AOL. If as you write AOL is going around gobbling up companies and growing as you and many of us think then it will become a target one day. A much easier target because of MSFT should they get their way.

As it is, some in the DOJ, FTC, congress and elsewhere would like to shall we say exercise some influence vis a vie the internet. The MSFT case gives them an entry.

They got their hot little hands into Banking in the 30's only now some 60+ years later has Glass-Stiegel been lifted, through T they got their hands into telecom and now they can not figure out how to extract themselves.

IMHO you don't want these clowns messing around with high tech or the internet for at a minimum they will slow the golden goose for everyone.

No, MSFT is not going away...
They'll get their slap on the wrist...bad boy bad boy...
and life will go on.
Why MSFT stockholders are so upset puzzles me.
It's a media game.
It's the houses playing games.
If you believe in the company, hang tight or buy more.
