I suspect they got caught with their pants (i820, RAMBUS) down. Were well into the processs of switching when the had to halt the Flopper launch. They were already dumping P-III-500s on E-machines...450s have stopped production all together. What they had they are hoping to sell at 600b's...which are really P-III-450s on 133 bus.
