Here's one of Gregg's post's regarding splits. As you can see by his comments he doesn't place to much value on splits and shares his values on how investing for splits has many pit falls and dangers.

Your right, he doesn't place much value on splits. But your original post drew the conclusion that Greg would find this split unwelcome and I don't think that is true but you would have to ask Gregg to be sure. There is nothing in the post of his that you presented to draw that conclusion. He was just saying that a split is not a good reason for making a decision to invest in a company. Personally, I think he would acknowledge that QCOM should split at this point since it is trading around $290 a share.

As to selling the handset division, there is a time and place for everything and I think Gregg would acknowledge that but, again, you would have to ask him. He certainly never said they should never sell it. He did say it shouldn't be sold to make some analysts job easier.

I guess I just don't understand where you are going with this.
