ynot:" investing short " >will you add this 'short' piece to your portfolio ? no; I was just exploring what a succesful bear investor's portfolio might look like, challenging the notion that a long-term short (investment) portfolio couldn't work. ran the "harvester" over INTC and LU this morning, got them back in balance; resisting the temptation to do the same with WMT & HD... have raised a lot of cash, harvesting stox over last four sessions. ===> if oil goes up strongly, U.S. bondz will be affected, and equities will probably resume decay from SPY 138.5 area. this bounce (from origin 18-OCT) began with BKX:XBD - financials and is ending with XOI:OSX - energy sector rotations so, fairly typical. The rising Cost Of Energy at the tail-end negatively affects TYX - Bondz and XAL - transports... and that's "DOW Theory" in a nutshell (^_^) -Steve
