Online auctioneer QXL.Com in deal with AOL Germany
LONDON, Nov 9 - British online autioneer QXL.Com

said on Tuesday it had signed a deal with AOL Germany

under which it would be given a presence on AOL Germany's homepage with positions in several of its pages.

QXL.Com also announced its results for the first six months on Tuesday in which it reported total registered users of 246,000 on September 30, 84 percent up on the previous quarter.

The company reported losses before tax of 11.1 million pounds in the second quarter, compared with 2.9 million in the first, making total losses of 14 million pounds for the first half.

QXL's number of items listed for auction rose 143 percent to 871,000 from 359,000 in the first quarter.

QXL's shares closed at 286 pence on Monday.
