TD:

Thanks as always for your thoughts. Very valuable. Here's a question for you:

Is the current Siebel run-up being caused by a fundamental reassessment of the company's prospects as an applications software provider/traditional tech growth story or is some "internet valuation" starting to be applied to the company by the market? I'm sure it's probably a bit of both but I'm more leery of temporary overvaluation based on the latter than the former.

RE: ASP, I wonder if SEBL's tepid response is due to the market not quite being ready for this. Most of the world seems to not yet understand nor trust the ASP model yet. The market seems to still be in the chasm stage.

Good to hear you're still in. Trees may not grow to the sky but the tulips seems to be growing nicely for now.

TD.

care to share your thoughts on Jonathan "next-gen VAR" Lee and/or Siebel's partnership with Corio/USinternetworking? (i think Peoplesoft, along with Siebel, has an investment in the former too.)

i gather one of the bigger unanswered questions is how far ASPs can push beyond small- to medium-sized businesses (e.g., customization issues)?

legit?

bullsh*t?
