Hi Jdassoc; Re Micron's decision to collect royalties on PC100 RAM have price ramifications.

Normally patent royalties are supposed to be proportional to the value of the patent, or the expense of avoiding the patent. So I wouldn't think that Micron would be collecting much. On the other hand, they are the single (more or less) US maker of DRAM, and you can expect our court system to give them more than just the benefit of the doubt.

All these suits over patents (particularly Intel's actions), reminds me of back when TXN did the same thing. How many years ago was that?
