I know the history of this company is to increase shares outstanding by about 100% per year; but I'm talking about the future of this company.

The very act of announcing a buying back would increase investor's interest and cause the stock price to increase. However, if after all of the November publicity no deal is announced for more than a few months then the stock price might fall back to a price that would be to EDIG's advantage. And you know EDIG is known for timely news releases. The stock could easily take off again after the buyback.
