SI servers down for 2 hours. Market wide short attack by bears. . .couldn't alert! The best move was selling into the opening gap. I could see the short-sellers at the open, but no way to send an alert. That too will be solved with a half-dozen different types of alerting methods. There is nothing more frustrating than not being able to access your trading account or your message board on a day when the market gets attacked so aggressively. Reminds me of the concerted crash of early this year, when a dozen brokerage houses suddenly crashed before the market opened on a very similar day, after a long runup. . .stocks were free-falling, you could see the quotes, but you could not access your brokerage account, either by phone or online.
