Thanks, Charley. Unfortunately, his last days were not comfortable. Until this illness, he had been quite lucid; he became irrational and was simply not himself much of the time. He was also in pain. His death was a blessing, but I wish it could have been easier for him and for the rest of us. My mother's death was easier in that we had a chance to share our love right up until the end.
