This analyst agrees with my philosophy:

"Roffman criticized fellow money managers for selling shares of companies such as Compaq Computer Corp., International Business Machines Corp. and Unisys Corp. after they warned of lower fourth-quarter earnings or had disappointing third-quarter profit or revenue. Small investors shouldn't sell their shares unless they're not confident in long-term prospects." - I own lots of all three
