RESEARCH ALERT- Parametric target lowered

NEW YORK, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Credit Suisse First Boston said Tuesday it lowered its fiscal 2000 earnings estimate on
Parametric Technology Corp. and set a price target that is below the mark that the company's stock now trades.

--Credit Suisse now expects Parametric, a software maker, to report year 2000 earnings of $0.87 a share compared with a
previous estimate of $0.92. The firm set an estimate of $1.05 per share for fiscal 2001.

--Credit Suisse has a price target of $18 on Parametric shares. The firm noted it would only buy shares if the price pulled back to below the $18 mark.

--Parametric shares were down 3/16 to 19-7/8, off a 52-week high of 22-1/4 but up from a low of 11-11/16.
