Rick, great report. Suggest he go to national (or even state) meetings of cities and get a chance to get on an agenda and talk about their success with the IDT/CPQ system. This kind of word of mouth can be very valuable.

Your report also confirms my point that IDX should not be counting on its channel resellers to do all the liaison work for them -- at least not at this early-adopter, critical stage. IDX/IDT has to have a presence with the end user.

Oceanside has about 1500 users, if I remember correctly? At the stated rate of savings, that comes out to $20 to $40 savings per user per year. That's about in line with what we've been hearing from CPQ and IDX on help desk savings.

Rick,

I suggest he go on the next Motorola Digital DNA commercial....the one with the biometric cell phone......you know, the one that is in production now....<g>

Hey.....Mark this in your day book......No sell-off at the close today!

No sell-off all day?.......Not even at the close?.......What?

Pinch me.....this must be a dream!

And was I dreaming....or did Rob really say he was looking for 4 points out of the show?
