Brian. Ot. Ot. Re: Solitude. That's one thing I don't get down there. The wife and her friend drags me all over the place during the day (shopping and stuff) while the husband tinkers with the cabin gg and the evenings are spend playing cards. Now when it's warmer the wife favors the beach more. gg. It will be warmer this time but not enough to take a blanket to the beach.

I do like the walks on the beach though. BTW. The fishing Pier on the Outer Banks in Rodanthe was almost totally destroyed in that last storm. It used to be a big Pier with a Pier house. The Pier house is gone and only some of the Pier is standing out in the Ocean. And there is very little beach left in that area and wow, was it beautiful before. At least the beach near our friends home did not get quite THAT much damage, it's only a mile away from the former Pier. Good thing they had moved the Lighthouse in time before that storm hit. We are worried that the cabin could be OCEAN FRONT in a next storm. Right now it's still behind some very small Dunes and a few houses away. Some Oceanfront houses are condemned.

Glad to hear this problem on SI was not just confined to me. gg.
