Not really. CMTO has always had its "hole card" modems in at
Cablelabs for certification. Vendors have to have *the* modems
they want to sell in for certification. New modem hardware or
new modem software have to get certified separately.

I almost thought someone was serious until I saw who'd written it.

You're great.

I've heard quite a few folks talking about CMTO here at the AEA conference and all with positive comments. The company spent 6 weeks before re-entering DOCSIS running tests for every conceivable situation, much of the time at CableLabs, itself. In addition, a senior VP was assigned the task to oversee the process on a 7/24 basis.

Every day, twenty-four hours a day, for six weeks. I suspect if CableLabs decides to throw it from the top of the TransAmerica building as part of the test, they'll still pass.
