I remember that in 1997 when we were at the top before the
earnings AMAT went down big time. Is this the last step of the staircase?

Tito,

The old man is still here. From thirty years experience in AMAT this is what we can reasonably expect.

The stock will soon split. I think it was at 108 last time.
After the split it will take a sharp decline, not because business is bad, it just happens. Then it will begin a slow advance for about two years back to 100 for the split stock.

For those who want to time the market selling is soon indicated. For those with a long term view, you can just sit back with your doubled stock and wait for it to double again in a couple of years.

Incidently my grandaughter was granted a full scholarship to college, so I don't have to sell some of my stock as I had planned.

Keep the faith.
