Mark,
<<So, the question is to wire, or to wire-less? What do you all think of all these radio signals buzzing through your house?>>
Who the hell knows what the future brings? Cover your ass and spec in a 2" PVC chase into every room-- clearly mapped and diagramed on the blueprints with access points in every room at plug level and desktop level. Run you about $500.00 bucks to cover any possible future retrofit (as long as you know exactly where those chases are).
If wireless wins-- you are out $500.00 If fiber optic (hard connection) wins, you've gained flexibility and saved 4 or 5K in labor charges.
Don't forget to keep an eye on Tandy Corp.

Paul (back in the friggin suit and hating it)

Wire/wireless, everything'll just be a guess at this point. But my guess would be that eventually wireless will win, if only because there are so many countries that aren't wired, and the cost to wire them will likely be prohibitive, so people will invest heavily in developing wireless technologies until they are king.

But, having moved into a new house last year, I can tell you that you won't regret having too many connections, having connections you don't use; you will only regret the connections that you don't have, the ones you can't use. And at the wall-less stage, putting in more plugs costs next to nothing, not even the $500 that Paul wrote of, literally just a few dollars that many builders will be happy to add.

My 2 cents.
