>>>1. you have this on backward, sort of a tail wagging the dog question. you cannot think of advertisers as investors, they will come if n0 can deliver, and will leave if it does not.<<< Fair enough. It's worked for both electronic and print medias. Obviously, television and radio. But we've heard all about that already. But, interestingly, also consider the Yellow Pages, free newspapers, coupons, promotions, sweepstakes, etc. Heck, even non-profit organizations have gotten a boost from advertisers. Yes, I think it'll probably work for the Internet, and especially for NetZero. Advertisers love stuff like what NetZero offers. >>>2. there is no shortage of advertising space on the web, and n0 will have to deliver on the promise of targeted ads, better tracking and all these pretty hard shit to overcome the disadvantage of piping ads to a largely freeloader crowd which is not at all desirable. I am sure this is covered long time ago.<<< NZRO will soon the be the Number Two ISP in the nation. It's adding 9,000 (nationally) daily based on its previous word of mouth campaign. AOL is now adding 12,000 daily (worldwide), based on its longtime best in nation, very intrusive ad campaign. NetZero's ad campaign just got off the ground. You gotta give it a chance to sink in. And you now as well as I do that it won't simply be freeloaders, but rather cost-conscious American consumers who'll be taking advantage with what NetZero has to offer. >>>3. taking away the fact that you are long n0, if you have an online store and 10k in marketing budget, where would you spend that 10k? Yahoo, AOL, DblClick, AdForce, MSN, AltaVista, excite, WSJ, or zero?<<< If you're shopping for an item on Website A and suddenly NetZero's ZeroPort aims an ad for a better priced item, equal in quality and ease of purchase, which one would you choose? Advertisers will put their money behind the most effective delivery system--which happens to be NetZero. AOL advertisers everything to everybody; NetZero does not. Big difference! >>>4. sounds to me like this is a matter of faith to you, so, good luck with your zero, why should I care at all...<<< It's NetZero to you, pal! But thanks for wishing me good luck. I just love altruism, don't you?
