You're right Auric. Nobody is expecting a profit for Q3 99. I estimate that they will lose 4 cents in the third quarter. The thing that one should be concerned about if they are short is if the company releases forward looking statements about the fourth quarter, and in particular sales of Zicam. If you look at the last few quarterly releases, Gum Tech typically reveals data about the current quarter to give investors guidance about the future. This is after all, more important than past earnings when making investment decisions. It is my belief that sales of Zicam are going very well and that the company will show a profit in Q4. If the company releases positive forward looking statements, the stock will most likely trade higher.

BTW, the article wasn't "rejected" as you have falsely characterized it. It was withdrawn as I'm sure you are aware. The only thing that deception will get you is a lack of respect. It won't move the stock in the direction that you want it to go.

Luck,

Dan
