Howard, The high speed router is ready for delivery, but I am not sure about making the CSCO routers "old tech". The CSCO router could be a nice edge device. Brian

Nortel cut prices on their routers (apparently to errode pricing in the maket). They also announce a "router stack" known as "Open IP" which is can be used in building competitive routers on an OS of their choice. In effect this would make routing an application.... not sure what kind of performance one could expect from this... appears to be mostly marketing hype. Probably a desire to delay the market.
