his demeanor was in a word rude when it came to MSFT and very collegial in addressing the DOJ attorneys I followed it pretty closely, and I know what you are talking about. If I dug a little I could probably find some references where he was impatient with the DOJ as well. But on the whole I agree that he was less patient with the MSFT guys. Still, it probably wasn't the first time a judge found it difficult to suffer a plaintiff that behaved as poorly as did MSFT. Their fabrication of the videotaped "evidence" was particularly egregious, IMHO. Whether Jackson's impatience was at an improper or actionable level, I'm sure we'll find out, I'm not an expert there. --Bob

Thread: I'm probably going to fade away here soon -- I've goofed off long enough and have to go do some real work -- and I just wanted to say something that probably will sound stupid but I want to say it anyway. As it says in my profile, a big part of my job is buying information and communications technology. Since I spend a fair bit of money for them, and since "them" Uncle Sam, they don't let me own any of these stocks. I just come here to get all the good dirt on these companies I have to buy stuff from. Now, most of my visits to SI have been to the AMD and SUNW threads. I admit I stopped over here just to see what y'all were saying about our favorite Judge's recentest post, and I just had to respond to some of it -- oh well. But the thing I wanted to say is how impressed I am at how civil y'all are, even with a stressful event like this. There's some serious polarization going on here, but y'all are doing an excellent job of keeping things on a pretty decent level. Some of y'all may not think that, but then I'm more used to the AMD thread, where stuff like this: Message 11862385 is actually on the tame side. So if you don't hear much more from me for some time, I just wanted to say I had a bunch of fun debating with y'all. I hope y'all didn't mind too much.
