Jean, if I may,

My guesses:

1- Fear of the disruption of the market by the MSFT litigation, which could have devastating effects on the industry.

2- This afternoon, this most recent rumor about the 8Billion Dollar Judgement.

3- "Sector rotation" by some funds. Time for the annual migration of yuppie fund managers into the 'next big deal', that's why the oil sector went up.

--yeah, I know, but the market is very skiterish as far as techs go right now.

Duke.

Jean,

Since Oct. 19, until today, Intel had gone from about $65 to $82. It's overdue for a little consolidation, as is the NASDAQ. Don't be greedy <g>.

Jean - Re: "Amid all this optimism, why has Intel been selling off, since last week"

Did you remember to ask me why INTEL GOES up - when it goes up ?

I didn't think so.

So, when Intel goes down, why would you think I am the holder of the REASON for it going down ?

Paul
