Earnings plays, gaps ( a lot of them), trend reversals, volatility breakouts, exhaustion plays, Support, Resistance & Trendline Breakouts, etc. (when stocks that are up so darn much just reverse and correct for a while i.e. KIDE, CMRC) are now 36 new pages of specific strategies as opposed to the more general technical analysis and chart patterns discussed in previous chapters of the manual. I've been using my own plays like VRTY, ALLR, WEBT, PUMA, even the bad ones like AEOS, CMRC (short) etc and have come up with more strategies. It is still too new for backtesting thoroughly but if you follow some risk management rules, the strategies will work with earnings plays, IPO's that beat estimates etc, momentum plays like CMRC, CLRN, VIAN, etc that just keep on moving to higher ground. CMRC finally correcting today assuming you could get an uptick early enough (I didn't try).

Whatever you add I'll be happy to add to substantiate any theories... This has been a really good earnings season for holding (i.e. MSTR, LWIN, IBIS, BOBJ, LGTO, BVSN, ALLR, AUDC, RIMM, WEBT, BRCM, SEBL, PUMA, ADIC, UNFY, ELNT, NICE, OCLI, EMLX, VSH etc.) longer term.
