Well, I figure it this way. If Linux didn't exist, Red Hat or some equivalent company would be pushing FreeBSD. Which is supposedly more stable, anyway. AOL doesn't have the programming drive to push Communicator (Netscape 4.7 with a shopping button, anyone?), so that browser is dying as we type. That leaves Mozilla for non-Windows environments.

Dan,

Great to have you back. Your comments about Red Hat are somewhat justified (the installation is non trivial as well if you have never seen Unix). On the bright side, there are a lot of great free software projects out there (http://www.gnu.org).

Thure
