William - I'll go back to your original post to which I replied - where you stated that Barron's Amazon.bomb article was published "about 20% ago" (or when AMZN was 20% lower). Of course, at market open this morning, "20% ago" was last Friday's close (I'm trying my best not to be facetious here).

Your implication was that since AMZN has gone up, Barron's was wrong. And you could say that through my reply, my argument was "since Amazon continues to lose money, Barron's was right." Perhaps, neither of our arguments is right at this point in time - because we still don't know if Amazon will live or die.

Losses may be good or bad. AOL's losses were good, Iridium's losses were bad. I would think that Amazon's mounting losses might help to dampen the volatility of it's stock. But they don't.

It's been a stimulating discussion. But I am off to dinner.
