No one needs to get concerned about this from Cymer's standpoint. I also doubt that this comes as news to anyone at any of the other affected companies; I recall that one of the questioners at the May annual meeting noted Nikon's declining market share. I feel sorry for the chipmakers who've been waiting for their equipment, though. With the upswing in demand for chips, anything that gets in the way of their capacity expansion is going to cost them a lot of lost business. I'm sure it won't endear them to Nikon in the future.
