Surf, Cisco continues on, in a desperate race with the likes of Lucent and Nortel, to buy the latest and greatest technology.. I believe this is another small step in that race. Aironet's best product (while more mature than Wi-Lan's) peters out while scaling the "11 Mbps brick wall" .. see aironet.com Cisco apparently needs their technology (in a very big hurry), in order to make a VOFDM product (with it's dubious smart antenna system) --- that will compete on Wi-Lan's turf -- and "see around corners" as well.
