ALibiDan - Re: "Sounds like rambus. Imagine, trying to ripoff an industry through the application of patent law. How awful."

Rambus ?

There you go - TOTALLY WRONG - as usual !

Just what is your BEEF with RAMBUS ?

RAMBUS invented a FAST DRAM technology when every other DRAM manufacturer was selling 10 year old technology - 60 nS DRAMS - for EXORBITANTLY HIGH PRICES - 1987 - 1997.

If nothing, RAMBUS FORCED the DRAM industry to innovate - or license their technology by virture of it being superior.

Your alibi alibi alibi nonsense is pretty pathetic.

Better find another SHTICK - and you can correct my spelling if you care to.

Paul

Dan,

AceHW is asking if a 128meg "SHTICK" (tm Engel) of Rambust is really $1100 each.
Wow.

Keep in mind though Dan,
there are lawyers, then there are iNtEL lawyers.
:o)

With few Floppermines, Q4 for iNtEL will be ugly.
Put me down for less than Q3. .50-.55 a share.

<Sounds like rambus. Imagine, trying to ripoff an industry through the application of patent law. How awful.>

As usual Dan, that is a totally ignorant comment. Rambus is a great example of an IP company, one who does its own R&D, works for their patents and intellectual property, then presents it to the industry leaders so that those very leaders won't have to do the R&D. Despite what you may think of them, they're actually making contributions to society.

These lawyers, however, didn't do any R&D, no work whatsoever. They just bought a patent and is now using that purchase as an excuse to sue Intel. These guys contributed absolutely nothing to society. Nada. No product, no service, nothing.

It's probably "shyster" as in Scheuster -- an unscrupulous 19th century New York lawyer.
