Hi Jay, thanks for the quick response. It occurred to me that the field I spoke about, those who would be reluctant going in, aren't necessarily represented by the desktop mavens here on SI.

By the way, you mentioned "10 free cheques." What possible use would you have for those? ;-)

Kidding aside, I enjoyed reading your account of your own experience, and would like to hear more from others. But a poll from those who use SI would be self fulfilling, in a way, when attempting to assess the potential of this sector against the backdrop of the greater population. It would have very little relationship to the larger population at this moment in time, IMO, except as an aberration of sorts. The greater masses right now do not agree with your sentiments, yet, but they will with time. It's that 'trajectory' that I was talking about, not the current acceptance from those who are ahead of the curve.

There are more checks being processed today than ever before, both conventionally, and now using imaging and character/handwriting rocognition. And if conditions persist the way they have in the economy, even if ebpp picks up smartly, checks/cheques will be with us for a long long time. This topic I do know something about, a lot more about, oddly enough, than ebpp. But such are the travels of a consultant.

Regards, Frank Coluccio

Jay - LOL! The bank that I don't deal with is Royal Bank (they won't let me pay my other bank's Mastercard). However, the credit union (VanCity) doesn't discriminate. Also, price seems to be roughly the same.

Best, Jim

Hi Jay, on second thought, an please excuse this if it was already stated or implied in your previous reply, but...

...while you are making "payment" electronically online, does RBC also make the actual initial "presentment" to you of all of those billers' amounts with detailed breakdowns and monthly statements, as well?

Or are you still receiving those in the mail?

And if they are doing the presentment to you, as well as acting as agent for payment, do you also get a copy of those bills and statements in the mail as well, say, from your telephone company, Master Charge, electric, etc. Curious. Frank
