KENSINGTON, THROUGH ITS MAJORITY OWNED SUBSIDARY, MAILCALL, INC., SIGNS A CONTRACT WITH AMERICAN DSL.COM, INC.
MINNEAPOLIS, Nov 9, 1999 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Kensington International Holding Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: KNSC), through its majority owned subsidiary, Mail Call, Inc., ( mailcall.net ) signed a contract with American DSL.COM, Inc. ( americandsl.com ) which allows American DSL.COM, Inc. to offer Mail Call's advanced text-to-speech technology to its customers. American DSL.COM, Inc. offers internet access via 56k dial-ups and DSL connections in twenty-two major American cities in conjunction with Covad Communications Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: COVD). By the end of 2000, American DSL.COM, Inc. and Covad's network should reach 40 percent of all US homes and 45 percent of all US businesses. American DSL.COM, Inc. also offers Virtual Private Networks that feature nationwide and regional LAN services as if they are all in the same office. "We are delighted to add Mail Call to our service package," stated Rick O'Neil, President of American DSL.COM, Inc. O'Neil went on to state that, "We are committed to offering our customers the most up-to-date communication and Internet tools available in an affordable package." American DSL.COM, Inc. is headquartered in Los Angeles and is a subsidiary of Global Games Corporation.
Mail Call ( mailcall.net ) uses advanced text-to-speech technology to read E-mail over a telephone without a computer. Subscribers simply call a toll-free number, 888-MAILCALL, and log in with their personalized customer ID and PIN code. The Mail Call service will then tell them, in a computerized voice, how many E-mail messages are in their existing E-mail box, and then read the headers for each message. The user may respond directly to the sender using their natural voice on the phone or with a preexisting text response. In addition, the user may forward the message to someone else in their address book, or send the E-mail to a FAX machine. The user may also initiate voice E-mails from their address book, or give the sender a phone number at which the subscriber can be reached. "The Mail Call system will enable our business customers with 56k or DSL connections to have the ability to access their corporate E-mails remotely, from anywhere in the world, while attending out-of-town sales events, meetings and conferences without changing their E-mail address," remarked Lynn Hoover, CFO of American DSL.COM, Inc.
