I'm ALIVE!....but barely...

Hit my head on my desk when I fainted after reading the onstar news. Just waking up.

IMO, we're seeing resistance here because CC is able to unload a ton of those millions of shares they got at $1.5.

GM is a nice name to have. This sure feels better!

Be back soon...congrats to all longs.

HC

Straight,

Courtesy of the other board. I am now a believer in a conspiracy by the preferreds to keep the price down. At least for the EOLC shares. There is no reason, IMO, that the price should have gone up only 1 tick today. Not with GM being the number 1 Fortune 500 company in the world. Also, with MSFT's and XCIT's $6 mil infusion, the stock jumped tremendously. Now with GM investing $20 mil (and all but ensuring the survival of GMGC) the stock does nothing.

It is a conspiracy IMO. Anyway, GM's adoption of the tech is validation at the highest level

Take care,
Kurt

GM UNVEILS CAR WITH INTERNET ACCESS

ÿ

LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- General Motors today unveiled the world?s first
personalized Web-based car scheduled to go on sale in the United States next year.

"GM is ushering in a new era of automotive communications that is destined to
change the role of cars and trucks for the American driving public," G. Richard
Wagoner, President and Chief Operating Officer of GM, told editors at the
Special Equipment Marketing Association (SEMA) convention here. "Today we
are delivering on our commitment to show our production intent Web car and
plan to have this Internet capability available to our customers next year."

Delivered through OnStar, the service will offer personalized Web-based
information, such as news headlines, sports scores, stock quotes and e-mail
available through a simple voice prompt.

"These new services respond to customers? demands for enhanced
communications services delivered in a mobile environment,"
OnStar Managing
Director Chet Huber said. "With nearly 100,000 OnStar subscribers using our
service today, this is just the next step in making tomorrow?s passenger cars and
trucks truly communications platforms."

The OnStar integrated three-button system provides drivers the ability to keep
track of their investments, find an up-to-date score for their favorite sports teams
or stay current with their e-mail without the need for keyboards or displays that
could potentially distract drivers.

General Motors also gave editors a glimpse of future services: Internet access
capability that allows Mp3 music files to be downloaded from a home PC and
uploaded to a vehicle; a capability that allows a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA),
such as Palm Pilot, access to other OnStar services, including unlocking the door
or flashing the lights outside the vehicle; and XM?s satellite radio capability
similar to DirecTV, that will offer radio content, expanded to as many as 100
stations, accessible from anywhere in the U.S.

Earlier this year, OnStar announced that factory installation would allow its
services to be included on close to one million General Motors cars and trucks
within the next 18 months, dramatically increasing the subscriber base from the
current level of nearly 100,000.

OnStar is the innovative, in-vehicle service that uses Global Positioning System
(GPS) satellite technology and wireless communications to link the driver and
vehicle with the OnStar Center, where advisors are available 24 hours a day, 365
days a year, to offer real-time, personalized help.
